A gin rickey is seriously one of the simplest drinks. It is made from the classic pairing of gin and lime — and unlike a gimlet, there’s no sugar in this drink. Just gin, lime, seltzer and ice. Here’s the recipe.
Ingredients:
juice from half a lime
2 ounces London dry gin
club soda
Directions:
In a Tom Collins glass filled with ice, squeeze in lime juice. Add gin, and top off with club soda. Give a stir and garnish with a lime.
The Gin Rickey can also be switched with different liquors — for instance, the Canadian Rickey uses Whiskey, The Brandy Rickey…. you get the idea.
