Ramos Gin Fizz

Thick, creamy, dreamy.  Requires lots of shaking!  The Ramos Gin Fizz was invented in 1888 by Henrico C. Ramos at the Imperial Cabinet Saloon in New Orleans. If you long for the perfume of orange flower water and the thick cream of egg and milk, you will enjoy this delightful drink. Ingredients:

1 1/2 oz Gin
1/2 oz lemon juice
1/2 oz lime juice
1/4 teaspoon orange flower water
1 egg white
2 oz cream

Directions:

This recipe calls for  a dry shake — combine all ingredients into the shaker WITHOUT ice and shake vigorously for at least one minute. Add ice and shake at least for another 2 minutes, until extremely frothy.
